Aged Care Forum
The aged care crisis is a national problem and it requires a national plan of action.
Just last year, the Aged Care Royal Commission issued a scathing assessment of the sector. The interim report branded the sector as “unsafe and seemingly uncaring”.
That’s why I am hosting a special forum with Labor’s Shadow Assistant Minister for Aged Care Ged Kearney.
I believe we need to address the systematic issues with aged care head on. Nobody should be left out of sight and out of mind. Our loved ones deserve the best possible care.
COVID-19 has further exposed the problems in the sector for all to see.
Tragically, the Morrison Government was not prepared for outbreaks of the coronavirus that impacted our nation’s most vulnerable people.
How can we do this better?
I hope you can join Ged and me for this important discussion via Zoom.
