Fluffy words from the City of Greater Geelong that residents of the Ashbury Estate will get their community infrastructure and sports fields when Council is able drain the water away from the “temporary drainage basin” is not good enough.

Ashbury residents were never told that promised sports fields would be used as a swamp. And it’s been a number of years now!

Council needs to commit to a timetable of when community infrastructure will be built and ready to use. Enough is enough!

Ashbury residents shouldn’t have to fight for basic services and facilities like walking and bike paths, playgrounds, sporting and community facilities and road traffic treatments.

Ashbury residents have a right to know when recreation facilities and pedestrian safety will be addressed and delivered. Come along to the community meeting and make your voice heard.
